Welcome, I’m glad you’re here.

About Me

My practice is grounded in compassionate curiosity. I take pride in building comfort, connection and ease with my clients, many of whom are trauma survivors, creatives, and queer folks. I’m warm and affirming, but I’ll challenge you too, as we unravel some of the forces that might be keeping you stuck in familiar cycles.

Areas of Focus & Training

  • I work with individual adults and couples. I am particularly passionate about supporting young adults, the queer community, survivors of trauma, and those experiencing life transitions, relationship challenges, or questions of identity.

I also have experience treating anxiety, OCD, depression, and other mood disorders. I believe that our symptoms provide us with valuable information about the parts of ourselves that may need attention and care.

  • My work is trauma-informed and affirming, guided by person-centered and psychodynamic theories. In other words, I provide a warm, nonjudgmental space to explore how the past is showing up in the present.

With a background in dance, creativity and somatic practices are also valued parts of my work. I have completed Level 1 training in Somatic Parts Work (Internal Family Systems), which explores how our inner world, or parts, protects us from pain. I have also received training in Polyvagal Theory and Arts Therapies.

  • I completed my BA in Psychology at Duke University, then received my MA in Mental Health Counseling from New York University. During my Masters training, I worked with a diverse group of young adults at a college in Brooklyn Heights.

I am currently pursuing my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (PsyD) at Pepperdine University, where I’ve worked with individuals and couples in our Irvine Community Clinic and low-income young adults at LA Job Corps.

Services & Fees

  • My fee for 50-minute individual therapy sessions is $175. Although I do not currently accept insurance, I am happy to provide a superbill to those who can be reimbursed.

  • My fee for 60-minute couples therapy sessions is $190. Although I do not currently accept insurance, I am happy to provide a superbill to those who can be reimbursed.

  • If you decide to work with an out-of-network provider, you can follow these steps to check your coverage. Though you will need to pay the full price of sessions upfront, depending on your plan, your insurance company may reimburse a portion of the cost by mailing you a check.

Before getting started, call up your insurance company to get clarity on the below:

Deductible: The amount you pay for covered health care services before your insurance plan kicks in. With a $1,000 deductible, for example, you pay the first $1,000 of covered services yourself. When you call up your insurance company, ask “What is my out-of-network deductible for outpatient mental health? How much of my deductible has been met this year?”

Coinsurance: The percentage of costs of a covered health care service that you are responsible for after you've paid your deductible. When you call your insurance company, ask “What is my out-of-network coinsurance for outpatient mental health?”

Allowed amount: The maximum amount a plan will pay for a covered health care service. Ask, “What is the ‘allowed amount’ (or ‘usual and customary rate’) in my area?”

    Other questions to ask:

Are these CPT codes covered? 90834 (for Individual Therapy), 90847 (for Couples Therapy)

Are there diagnoses that this policy will not cover?

Is there a limit to how many mental health visits I may receive per calendar year?

Do I need an authorization for my visits?

What is the procedure and address to submit a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement?
